The IW-25-6 IN/ON Wall Dehumidifier with Bi-Polar Ionization Technology removes up to 40 pints per day (@80°F and 60% RH) in up to 1,500 square feet. It controls excessive moisture that contributes to poor indoor air quality, property damage, mold, comfort complaints, and potential liability risks. The unit recesses inside a 2×6 interior wall, fits through a 2×4 interior wall, or mounts directly on any wall surface.
The sixth generation IW-25 includes an ozone-free Bi-Polar Ion Generator that distributes positive and negative ions which bond to indoor pollutants — including bacteria, viruses, pollen, mold, and odors — breaking them down and transforming them into water vapor.
HOW IT WORKS?
The IW-25-6 utilizes its integrated humidistat/thermostat to monitor environmental conditions. When relative humidity rises above the selected setpoint, the dehumidifier energizes. Air is drawn across an evaporator coil — cooler than the dew point — causing moisture to condense from the air. The air is then reheated through the condenser coil and distributed back into the room.
INSTALLATION?
The IW-25-6 offers four installation options: IN-Wall — recessed flush in 2×6 frame construction; IN-Wall with Exterior Sleeve — semi-recessed in 2×4 finished frame construction; THROUGH-Wall — flush in 2×4 construction with unfinished or cut-through back wall; ON-Wall — surface-mounted on any solid wall, CMU block, masonry, concrete, or brick.
