Defender Series: Wall Mounted VWD-30 Vertical In Wall Dehumidifier
Introducing the Innovative military grade, TAA compliant, Vertical (VWD-30) Wall Mounted Dehumidifiers. Our highly engineered Defender Series Dehumidifiers are uniquely designed to attack high humidity in your military applications, improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and protect military assets.
Removes excess moisture from indoor air providing a Controlled Humidity Environment (CHE) for our Defense Partners. CHE is required to prevent poor IAQ, mold growth, health issues and protect assets and equipment from moisture damage. These Defender Series Dehumidifiers are installed in the the wall and work independently from the building’s HVAC system. Connecting the provided hose to a drain allows the dehumidifier to remove water from the air without interruption until the desired relative humidity level is achieved in the room. Tamper proof controls are accessible by the installer or facilities manager only.

HOW IT WORKS
Our Defender Series dehumidifiers remove excess moisture from indoor air providing a Controlled Humidity Environment (CHE) for our Defense Partners. CHE is required to prevent poor IAQ, mold growth, health issues and protect assets and equipment from moisture damage. In the simplest terms, when the humidity level exceeds the set point of the humidity controller, the dehumidifier will energize. The internal fan and compressor will turn on, forcing air to be drawn across the evaporator coil, which is cooler than the dew point of the air, allowing the coil to remove water from the air and exit via the drain. The air is then reheated as it flows across the condenser coil and distributed back into the air.
INSTALLATION
The Vertical (VWD-30) Wall Mounted Dehumidifier dehumidifiers are simple to install and work independently from the building’s HVAC system. Connecting the provided hose to a drain allows the dehumidifier to remove water from the air without interruption until the desired relative humidity level is achieved in the room. Tamper proof controls are accessible by the installer or facilities manager only. The Innovative VWD-30 Vertical Wall Dehumidifier has been engineered to accommodate 3 different mounting configurations based on your application and wall construction.
Installation Options:
- Fully recessed in wall mounting—2 X 6 stud with 1/2” drywall surface or 2 X 4 stud with 1/2” drywall surface with back side of wall drywall not present or cut out.
- Semi recessed in wall mounting—2 X 4 stud with 1/2” drywall surface utilizing an optional color matched wall spacer sleeve.
- Surface mounted to wall for solid wall applications utilizing an optional color matched full depth mounting sleeve.
All mounting options allow for power and drain connections out of the bottom or rear of the cabinet. Detailed installation configurations and options are included in our Installation and Operation Manual.
