Bi-Polar Ion Generator
Pioneering the multi-family industry
The ENERGY STAR® certified IW25-4 IN Wall Dehumidifier and ON Wall Dehumidifier removes excess moisture to reduce the risks associated with mold growth. This innovative technology combines bi-polar ionization with the IW25 tamper-proof and tankless dehumidifier, eliminating airborne viruses and pathogens as it dehumidifies apartments. Specifically designed to lower indoor relative humidity in multi-family housing while purifying the air. A successful humidity control strategy will proactively protect building structures, effectively and efficiently improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and prevent mold with the patent pending wall mounted dehumidifier with
bi-polar ion generator. Supplemental dehumidification with air purification is no longer a luxury but a necessity for every apartment.
Tenant behavior and tighter building codes are the leading causes of mold growth in apartments.
Clean Air
Inspired by Nature
Improving Indoor Air Quality
Innovative Dehumidifier Systems LLC is revolutionizing the multi-family housing industry by integrating the IW25-4 dehumidifier with a bi-polar ion generator for cleaner indoor air. Bi-polar ionization technology is incorporated directly into the IW25-4 dehumidifier to help mitigate bacterial and viral spread. Throughout the dehumidification, process air is drawn across the evaporator coils, which is cooler than the dew point. As moisture condenses over the coils the patent-pending IW25-4 produces millions of positive and negative ions, that attack and break down airborne pathogens including allergens, bacteria, mold, viruses, and VOCs. Once ions break down pollutants they attach to particles in the air forming water vapor, which is removed from the air through dehumidification. Reduce indoor relative humidity to proactively prevent mold growth and kill up to 99% of airborne viruses and pathogens for improved health and wellness in apartments.
Eliminates Airborne Viruses & Pathogens while Dehumidifying
How it Works?
1. Ions are Released into the Air
Plasma technology is used to generate positive and negative ions, using water vapor in the air.
2. Ions Break Down Pollutants
The ions neutralize their bi-polar (positive or negative) charges as they attack and deactivate pollutants in the air.
3. Ions Return to air as Water Vapor
As the bi-polar ions attack pollutants, they transform into OH radicals, removing the hydrogen (H) from proteins on the surface; the surface of molds, bacteria, allergens and viruses are mostly made of protein. Once the hydrogen (H) is removed, the OH radicals immediately bond together forming water (H2O) vapor.
4. Dehumidifier Removes Excess Moisture
The dehumidifier automatically removes excess water in the air.
According to the EPA
Americans spend 90% of their time indoors,
where air pollution can be 2 to 5 times higher than the outdoors.

Combining supplemental dehumidification and air purification proactively protects investments while providing healthier living spaces for residents. Bi-polar ionization replicates nature by producing millions of ions to neutralize unwanted pathogens in the air. Eliminating airborne viruses, killing bacteria and pathogens allows for healthier living. Our immune systems are designed to fight off airborne pathogens that cause sickness and colds, but bad indoor air quality can exhaust your body’s natural defense system. It has become more important than ever to improve the indoor air quality of your property. As we find ourselves spending more time indoors, due to rain, temperature, and a pandemic (Covid-19), it has become essential for multi-family housing developments to take action.
CLEAN AIR SOLUTIONS
for improved health and wellness
TANKLESS | QUIET | RELIABLE | SLEEK
The tankless IW-25-4 dehumidifier with combined ionization includes hands-free draining – say goodbye to those annoying reservoir tanks. The system drains directly into hub drain or other plumbing with gravity drainage system or an integrated condensate pump. Innovative Dehumidifier Systems has designed the first IN Wall/ ON Wall dehumidifier with a built-in condensate pump, for installations with limited draining access. Easily installs in a variety of applications from conception to design, pre-construction to renovation and already existing properties.
The In-Wall Dehumidifier features a slim design that recesses directly inside a 2 x 6 wall between studs spaced 16” on center or recesses through 2 x 4 wall. For semi-recessed installations, an Exterior Sleeve (or bump out) is available for 2 x 4 applications where unit can not be fully installed through the wall.
Learn about the versatile installation options of the IW25-4.
The On-Wall Dehumidifier is designed for direct on wall mounting without an accessory on a variety of surfaces including drywall, CMU block, masonry, concrete, stucco, etc.
Designed for everyday use the IW25 can remove over 25 pints of moisture per day in spaces up to 1,500 square feet*. The solution to mold prevention and air purification in apartments, student housing, homes, historic buildings, and basements. Additional features of the modern dehumidifier include a LED light for simplified maintenance, all aluminum and microchannel coils to improve strength and longevity, accessible and washable MERV-8 filter, and alternate drain/ power routing while offering either 120V plugin or hardwire capabilities. Innovative Dehumidifier Systems provides reliable products and service backed with a full 5 YEAR WARRANTY on parts and labor.
Why Supplemental Dehumidification?
Because moisture won’t escape on its own. Prevent mold before it happens.

Moisture Control Effects Indoor Air Comfort
Home comfort is important to everyone. As humans, we strive to come home from a day of stress and work to unwind, relax and play within the comforts of our own space. Thermal temperatures play a huge role in the comfort of a home; our body feels most comfortable when the heat produced equals the heat lost. Thermal comfort is achieved when air temperature, humidity, and air movement are in proper balance. Humans are sensitive to humidity since our skin relies on the air to release moisture. We sweat in order to cool our bodies, if the air is at a high relative humidity sweat will not evaporate into the air. When moisture is unable to leave our skin we feel hotter. Maintaining proper indoor moisture levels will improve comfort but will also help to prevent health hazards and mold growth as well as protect the longevity of your property.
Managing Indoor Humidity to Maximize Comfort
Reviews
The Right Size for Maximum Efficiency
On average a family of four produces over 25 pints of water a day through cooking, cleaning, bathing, perspiring, and even breathing. In order to maximize indoor air quality, an escape plan for moisture must exist. In the past, excess water has been able to escape through airflow, air conditioning, and ventilation. As construction techniques evolve to enhance comfort and efficiency, building envelopes become tighter and it is more difficult for moisture to escape. To properly dehumidify a space the most important factors to consider are the size of the area to be dehumidified and the moisture conditions in the space before dehumidification. Choosing the right size for supplemental dehumidification will maximize energy efficiency, save space, and produce less noise and heat. The key to mold prevention is maintaining indoor relative humidity levels consistently below 60%. The IW-25 in wall dehumidifier and on wall dehumidifier installs easily to remove 25-30 PPD (pints per day) of moisture, at AHAM conditions (80°F/ 60% R.H.)* and runs quietly at 45 dBA.**
Humidity Happens… Mold Doesn’t Have To!
What is Tenant Behavior?
Tenant behavior is how we define the lifestyle, habits, and choices that occupants make throughout the day, that affect the indoor environment.
Occupant choices that affect indoor living conditions include the thermostat setting, number of occupants, cleanliness of space, and more. Tenants are continuously generating moisture in their homes throughout the day, from cooking, showering, cleaning, hang drying clothing, watering plants, and perspiring. Some choose not to run their HVAC system at all while others leave windows open through the evening.
All tenants are different and depending on their preferred daily choices, this can have adverse effects on the structure of the home, property, management, and most importantly the Indoor Air Quality.
